Seed testing division is another important wing that analyses the seed samples being drawn by seed certification and seed inspection divisions. Annually 150000 nos of seed samples are being analysed and sub standard seed lots are immediately stopped from being marketed to farmers.

TNOCD (Tamil Nadu Organic Certification Department) was created to facilitate the organic farmers to get Organic certifications in accordance with NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production) norms. Annualy, an area of 125000 acre is being registred under Organic Certification
